In the late 1960's, Melvyn Cooper Sr started a small machine shop in his back yard. He worked nights and weekends in his little shop while maintaining a full-time job and starting a family. In 1979, his dream finally became a reality as he and his wife opened the doors to the original Cooper Company on Lipsey Drive. They both worked long hours to make their business a success. Over time, their simple machine shop expanded and in 2013, Cooper Company moved to their current location on Baldwin Drive.
